Chocolate Avocado Mousse

Want to know the secret recipe to getting in the good books with your loved one on Valentine’s day… or any day for that matter? We are talking a sweet treat but a healthy sweet treat in the form of a delicious avocado mousse. This amazing desert is 100% Paleo, gluten-free and vegan.

Just see how easy it can be…..


3 tbsp coconut oil

24g 100% pure dark chocolate

3 tbsp cacao powder

1 tsp instant coffee

6 pitted medjool dates

2 large ripe avocados, pitted

1/4 cup of coconut milk

2 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

  1. Step 1 is to set a small metal bowl atop a small saucepan of water, filled about 1/3 of the way. Put the heat on a high setting until it boils, then turn down to a simmer.
  2. Next step is to put the first four ingredients in the bowl, stirring occasionally. Once this is done, set aside the bowl while preparing the next step of the recipe.
  3. Place the remaining ingredients into a blender or food processor until almost smooth. Once this consistency has been achieved, add in the chocolate mixture and continue to blend until completely smooth.
  4. All that remains to do is pour into glass bowls. Piping the mixture into bowls is a great tip if trying to achieve extra points for presentation. Once complete, all that remains is to place in the fridge for four hours, which will firm up the consistency. Alternatively, eat it soft and warm straight out of the blender, the choice yours!!

The amount of ingredients used will create 4 half-cup servings.
